Awning fabrics by the metre
Do you want to really enjoy your garden in summer, but are aware of the risks of UV radiation? A good awning fabric protects you from UV radiation in summer and at the same time provides a nice place to relax in the shade. This means you can make the most of your garden and retreat under the sun protection when you need to.
Whether it's a new cover or replacing the awning fabric, the choice of fabric should be made with care. A wide selection of materials and colours is therefore very important to us, so that every customer has the opportunity to perfectly match their awning design to their own needs. If you still can't find what you're looking for, contact our fabric consultation team and we'll do our best to find the perfect fabric for you!
Choosing an awning fabric
To choose the right fabric for your awning, you first need to differentiate between the different types of awnings.
With drop arm awnings or folding arm awnings, for example, the fabric is more exposed to weather conditions than with an underglass awning. For this reason, particular care should be taken to ensure that the fabric is hard-wearing, easy to clean and, in the best case, even water-resistant.
If the awning fabric is installed as a kind of sun sail in a conservatory or terrace underneath a roof, weather resistance is not necessary.
In general, the fabric should be hard-wearing due to the regular extension and retraction of the classic awning. By choosing a colour-fast fabric, you can also ensure that the beautiful colours retain their intensity even after many hours of sunshine.
