Important properties of Coolmax® functional fabrics
First of all, we should clarify what Coolmax® actually is. Coolmax® is a refined polyester yarn which, thanks to a special treatment, has a larger surface area than normal polyester yarns. Moisture is thus absorbed by the fabrics and transported from the body to the outside of the fabric, where the sweat produced when sweating then dries quickly. In this way, sports fabrics with Coolmax® fibres keep the athlete cool even during strenuous exertion.
In addition to good moisture transport, which is made possible by capillary action, breathability is another important feature of this type of fabric.

- Sportswear such as leggings, shorts or trousers
- T-shirts, jerseys or tops
- Jackets or jumpers
Care instructions
Coolmax® fabrics are very easy to care for. A normal wash cycle at 30° is completely sufficient to remove impurities and odours from the fabrics.
If you hang the damp fabrics loosely afterwards, ironing is also unnecessary. Depending on the care symbol, it is usually still possible to iron the fabrics at low heat (1 point).
In individual cases, however, it is always important to observe the care labelling of the respective clothing or fabrics, as finishing, different processing methods or mixed yarns can result in different care requirements.
