Important properties of fluorescent fabrics
Fluorescent fabrics are designed to increase the wearer's visibility both during the day and at night. The requirements for high visibility clothing for road traffic work, for example, are set out in the EN 20471 standard. Some of our fabrics fall under this standard and therefore fulfil the high visibility requirements.
The colours covered by EN 20471 include yellow, red and orange.
To increase the visibility factor even further, we recommend combining the fluorescent materials with our reflective fabrics. These reflect light and warn approaching vehicles of your presence. This gives your new item of clothing the optimum protection factor!
Our reflective fabrics include outdoor
fabrics such as softshell or membrane fabrics as well as fleece fabrics. Depending on the area of use, these are equipped with a
water-repellent impregnation or a waterproof coating or membrane, for
example.
